1. We offer flexibility with regards to dates, itinerary and group size
Book your trek for any departure date and schedule that you prefer. You have the option of trekking by yourself, with your own group, or with one of our scheduled groups. We work closely with you and can also build a bespoke Itinerary to meet your specific requirements, ensuring you get the Himalayan experience you desire.
2. We have experienced, dedicated local guides
We select and train our own staff. They have extensive knowledge of the Nepal Himalayas, from altitude sickness to local customs. They work solely for our company and are therefore highly motivated and dedicated to meeting the needs of our guests. All of our guides are fluent in English and have years of trek leadership experience.
3. We operate a ‘responsible tourism’ policy
We are committed to responsible tourism. Hiking Himalaya’s policies aim to ensure that our expeditions comply with external guidelines that are socially, environmentally and culturally sound. We feel strongly that all our treks should protect the environment by minimizing pollution, respecting local traditions and religion, and bring benefit to the local communities. Low impact trekking/touring is the best way of preserving the beautiful yet fragile places we visit. We tread lightly, taking nothing but photos, leaving nothing but footprints. We are dedicated to doing our part to preserve the natural beauty of our country.
4. We arrange accommodation as per guest’s requirements
We wish to make your stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible. There is a bewildering array of hotels in Nepal. We can arrange accommodation, that meets your needs and budget.
5. We provide support to the local community
Annually, 2% of our net profits are earmarked for reforestation efforts and educational programs in the countryside villages. In addition our CEO Vishma Raj Nepal has initiated a program for educating and housing orphaned children in Kathmandu. Clients are welcome to participate in this program if they wish.
