Chitwan National Park

3 days in Nepal’s oldest National Park, designated a World Heritage Site in 1984.

Chitwan National Park is home to rich wildlife, lush grasslands and rare species of birds and animals. Highlights of this trip include the classic elephant ride for your chance of seeing the iconic one-horned rhino, bison, wild boar, monkeys, deer and a wide array of birds (over 400 species on record), and with luck on your side even the Royal Bengal tiger, bear and leopard are a possibility. Over 400 different birds have been recorded here, including the Indian peafowl, the tuneful black headed oriole and the open bill stork.

How to get to Chitwan National Parks?

Either just 20 minutes scheduled flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur or 4 to 5 hours drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara or perhaps after an exiting white-water rafting holiday.
