Kapil Nepal, the Executive Director, Manager and Team leader of Hiking Himalayas Treks and Expedition has been involved in the tourism industry for more than 7 years. Kapil Nepal or Kapil, as he is more commonly called, is an experienced Team leader , Trekking Guide and Travel planner based in Kathmandu. Before, Kapil started his journey from the porter and has been working as a senior mountain guide in one of the top trekking agencies in Nepal since 2015.

While studying for his bachelor’s degree, Kapil frequently accompanied trekking groups as a helper. It helped him earn some pocket money as well as gave him enough experience to learn about the tools of the trekking trade. His first trek was to Annapurna Base Camp in 2011. Unfortunately, there was an avalanche end route and the group had a difficult time on the trek. This first trek was a huge learning experience for him as it gave him first-hand experience on how to survive during an emergency in the mountains.

With over  years of experience in organizing and leading treks in Nepal, Kapil has gained a wealth of knowledge about every trail, such as detailed route information, the requirements for hiking and trekking safely, and the local traditions, culture, and heritage. Over the years, Kapil has guided no less than a hundred trekking popular trails such as Annapurna Base Camp Trek , Manaslu Circuit Trek and Everest Base Camp. Likewise, he has also led a group of climbers to Island Peak (6,189m) and other peaks successfully.

In the later years, he gathered enough experience and began guiding clients on his own. He has guided groups to almost all the popular trekking trails in Nepal Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Mustang, Kanchenjunga, Dolpo, etc.

Mr. Kapil Nepal is always working relentlessly and providing his best to ensure that all his clients’ journeys are safe and enjoyable. His utmost professionalism, resourcefulness, and good interpersonal skills have earned him a high reputation and respect among his clients, his team members, and business partners.

Kapil’s passion for promoting Nepal as a leading trekking and travel destination has fueled him . He believesthat “Heaven is a myth, but Nepal is real and one can witness a thousand miracles here.”

He holds different certificates from Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) that include; English language proficiency, Leadership Skills, an Eco-friendly Guiding Certificate from the Government of Nepal Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation, and First Aid training from Himalayan rescue associations (HRA). He desires to improve the mountain communities of his home region and in his free time works on ways to bring prosperity and growth to local communities.

Apart from taking care of the company with his Father, Kapil Nepal manages to find time to indulge in his love for traveling. He has visited foreign countries and there are more destinations on his bucket list that he plans to visit. He says that traveling to other destinations has helped him experience the joys and struggles of a traveler. It has helped him understand the expectations and perspectives of clients who travel with them, thus enabling him to communicate with them better and organize well-structured trips. The logistics and sales departments of the company are his domain and he minutely oversees and plans each and every single trip that Hiking Himalayas Treks organizes.
